Hundreds of people gathered at the temple to participate in a grand prayer ceremony, conducted by many distinguished monks from both Bangkok and the surrounding area. After the monks blessed all the attending Buddhists, and before the lunch treat for the monks, Educational Funds were allocated to over 40 student monk who have made good grades in Buddhism and the Pali script in the “Parien Dharma Study Levels 1-3”.

This donation ceremony was called “Praising the Great Teacher” as the 1st Abbot has been respected by all later generations as a outstanding teacher. The donations continued with over 690 Educational grants of 1,000 baht. These grants went to students from 11 schools under jurisdiction of the Pattaya Education Office, plus the Chaiyamongkon Nursery School. These grants for the students were donated by many families, and the observance ended with the acquiring of merit by all the Buddhists at the meeting.
