On Saturday evening Nongprue police announced the arrest of two men accused of extorting money from five victims by kidnapping their relatives. The two offenders, Akrapan and Traimart both 33 were arrested for unlawfully abducting relatives on trumped up drug related incidents until ransom money was made by the families. According to the assailants they had the cooperation of a recently transferred officer to Pattaya, Police Seargeant Major Puyati, who on investigation has a similar record charged against him in Khon Kaen. A full investigation is now underway.
