Meeting of Pattaya Tourist Boat Cooperative - Pattaya People

 

 

A meeting took place at Pattaya City Hall on Monday morning with the committee and members from the Pattaya Tourist Boat Cooperative attending, this their first general meeting of 2013.  A performance report was given for 2012 which was deemed successful businesswise.  They also quoted debts that are owed to the cooperative totaling just over 5 million baht and taking legal action was approved by all members.  The hike in the price of mooring rentals and land parking was also an issue, going from 45,000 baht to 75,000 baht a month since December 2012.

Meeting about Traffic Problems in Laem Chabang - Pattaya People

 

A meeting took place in the conference room of Laem Chabang municipality office on Friday morning to discuss traffic problems in the area.  The main zones targeted were along Sukhumvit Road and the entrance to the port and pier.  They also discussed about installing road bumps to reduce speeding vehicles near a local school, and it was revealed that the construction of a planned flyover in the area could not be undertaken due to engineering problems.  Solutions will try to be resolved at a future meeting.

Pattaya International Bed Race 2013 Meeting - Pattaya People

 

A meeting to prepare for the 5th Pattaya International Bed Race 2013 was held on Tuesday at Pattaya City Hall. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Aegasing, the President of the Rotary Club of Pattaya Khun Jam-long Pat-sa, Khun Niels Colov CEO Pattaya People Media Group, and representatives from the Central Festival Pattaya Beach Mall, from the Father Ray Foundation and members of Rotary Club of Pattaya. This world famous Bed Race will be held on Sunday 27 January 2013, to promote tourism in Pattaya and to raise funds for charity through the cooperation of numerous local groups.

The registration fee per team is 5,000 Baht, for up to 6 members per team . The beds can be rented for 2,000 Baht at the Father Ray Foundation. The starting point, at 4 PM, will be on Beach Road by Central Festival, and the mad dash of racing beds will finish on Walking Street. The fun will also include entertainers on stage, as well as a lucky draw for everyone.

End of Year Meeting for YWCA Committee - Pattaya People

 

A committee meeting took place on Wednesday afternoon at the office of the YWCA Bangkok Pattaya branch located on Soi Town in Town Hotel, off Central Road.  The agenda was about a summary report on the past year’s activities of the YWCA and planned projects for 2013.  The financial report was also given, followed by handing out funds to poor students with good grades, and a special award went to Miss Sutasinee who has graduated with a Bachelor Degree at Burapa University.   New members were introduced before the meeting ended for all to get ready for the busy year ahead.

Monthly Meeting of Banglamung Inspectors Committee - Pattaya People

 

 

The monthly meeting of Banglamung Police Inspectors Committee was held on Monday afternoon at the Maldives Restaurant on Sukhumvit Road in Banglamung.  Many members and Banglamung police officers attended to listen to a summary of previous events, reports on road checkpoints and successes in crime prevention, plus plans for traffic and crowd control in Banglamung during Loy Krathong on Wednesday.

General Meeting for Beach Operators in Jomtien - Pattaya People

 

 

A meeting took place at Laem Chabang Municipality office on Thursday morning to discuss finding solutions to the complaints about bad odours being emitted from a number of cargo ships at the port.  Not only the bad smells was a source of complaint , but also it was an environmental issue with the accumulating pile of debris floating in the sea, as a result of suspected dumping overboard by cargo ship crew.  All relevant departments and private sectors were invited to attend and it was agreed that a committee will be set up to monitor the complaints in the near future.

Royal Thai Navy Region 1 Meeting - Pattaya People

 

 

On Tuesday at the A-One The Royal Cruise hotel, Vice Admiral  Chumpon Wongwekin chaired a meeting of the Royal Thai Navy Region 1. He addressed the policies for 2012 to the representatives of 92 establishments relating to Sea and Coastal Protection.  The attendees discussed potential problems in protecting the coast and the sea, as well as other responsibilities under the supervision of the Royal Thai Navy, such as workers from neighboring countries, sea rescues, etc.

All 92 reps exchanged their knowledge and experience in these matters, and got to know each other better. This should lead to improved cooperation between the establishments, which was one of the goals of this meeting.

Third General Meeting of Laem Chabang's City Council - Pattaya People

 

On Wednesday at Laem Chabang Municipality, the Chairman of City Council Mr. Boonreuan Moong-ma-nee opened the 3rd General Meeting of the City Council to consider pending and future projects. Financial proposals were considered for 2012, and the meeting approved the purchase of heavy machines and equipment to be used in construction projects and landscaping. The cost of the construction equipment is 1.04 million baht, so the operating budget was reduced from 6.8 million to 5.8 million baht.  That reduction in the operating budget will be transferred to purchase the equipment for the landscaping and construction projects of Laem Chabang.
