Five Asian University Students Injured - Pattaya People
On Wednesday around 1:30 am, the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team was called for medical and traffic control assistance with an accident on Route 336, underneath Khao-mai-gaew Flyover Bridge, where 5 people were reported trapped in a vehicle.
The rescuers and cutter truck went to the scene immediately, and found a white Honda Jazz wrecked in the front, with broken pieces of the car strewn on the road.
The 5 men stuck in the car looked seriously injured, and about to go into a coma. The rescuers took about 20 minutes to cut open the car doors to free the victims, whom identified after as Mr. Wachirapong Pan-jaa-naen, aged 27 whom was the driver, Mr. Jakrapat Jeung-tra-goon, aged 20 in the passenger seat and 3 male victims in the back seat whom were Mr. Rangsan Kong-da-tip, aged 19, a half Thai-Japanese man Mr. Heromishi, aged 23 and Mr. Heiken Jan Danial, aged 24 (unknown nationality), all students in their second Year at Asian University.
The most serious victim was taken to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, while the rest were taken to Banglamung Hospital. There was no witness to the accident, but the fellow who discovered this wrecked car informed the rescuers and the Huay-yai police. The police went to the scene, and took photos for further investigation, but the primary assumption was that the driver was careless while driving along this dark route with many sharp curves. Unfamiliarity with the road mixed with bad driving certainly caused this accident. Clues on the road indicated that the vehicle flipped and turned around several times, before finally landing upright.
