The Sawang Prateep Sriracha Rescue Team was called for assistance when a cow fell into a drain pipe along Sukhumvit Road in Sriracha. At the scene, a cow was discovered in a 3-meter-high drainage pipe, and it took the rescuers a little while to devise a plan. The rescuers finally solved the problem with sandbags, which were piled up in the drain pipe in layers for the cow to climb up. The rescuers also used a big rope and an engine belt placed around the cow to help pull it up, which took over 2 hours. The cow was a 1 year-old heifer weighing-150-kilos. The lucky critter belonged to a farmer residing about 100 meters away, who still did not know about his cow’s rescue, as he had left since the morning, but thanks to the mercy of the rescuers, this cow can look forward to many more days of grazing in the pastures.
