Seminar on Free Trade Agreements held at Montien Hotel - Pattaya People

A seminar was held on Thursday morning at the Montien Hotel on Second Road, organised by the Department of Foreign Trade.  The subject was about Thailand’s Free Trade Area agreements with other countries.  The last being an agreement with Peru, allowing nearly 4000 tax free products to be exported from Thailand to Peru.  Exporting is a key income for Thailand, grossing in an average 200,000 million baht each year.   In 2015, when the ASEAN economic community begins, the economy from exporting Thai goods will increase even more.  Further, to stay on top of the game, a trade agreement with India is to be rearranged and the USA is also being targeted for an FTA agreement to allow Thai goods to be exported to the States.
