Chicken Farmers Advised of Flooding - Pattaya People

The President of the Chicken Farmers Association of Thailand Mrs. Chaweewan Kampa made a statement to warn all farmers in low lying land prone to flooding to slow down on producing or breeding their chickens, especially in Ang-tong, and Ayudhtaya provinces in Central Thailand, as flooding is possible in the next couple of days.

The cost of animal feed has also increased, and the average supply of chickens to the market has grown from 20 million chickens per week to 24 million chickens per week. This indicates that the supply will outstrip demand shortly, and the marketing situation will become risky for the farmers.
