Teamwork Nails Taxi Thief - Pattaya People

On Tuesday morning, the Pattaya Police, Pattaya Police Superintendent Pol. Col. Tammanoon Mankong and the Suppressing Team led by Deputy Superintendent Pol. Lt. Col. Giatisak Sa-tong-oy held a press conference to announce the arrest of Mr. Tongchai or Wee Kujarern for a car theft committed on Monday afternoon. Mr. Tongchai had hired a taxi, driven by a Mr. Mana Sereesoet, from Bangkok to Pattaya. Then Mr. Tongchai asked the taxi driver to stop at Potisarn Market, and to take a document to a vender in the marketplace while he waited in the car. As the taxi driver Mr. Mana did him this favor, Mr. Tongchai merrily zipped away with the taxi.

After the taxi was stolen, Mana filed a complaint, but did not know the name of the thief.  The police network was alerted to locate this stolen taxi, and after a while, the Pattaya Police were contacted by the Minburi Police in Bangkok, who had successfully apprehended the suspect, now identified as Mr. Tongchai, with the taxi, 2 keys and a Nokia mobile.  The Pattaya Police arranged for the suspect to be sent back to Pattaya for legal proceedings, and Mr. Mana identified Tongchai as the one who swiped his cab.  Mr. Tongchai also pleaded guilty.
