Khao Kheow police were notified on Monday morning about a fatal road accident that had occurred on route 7 near Nongkam. At the scene, a Honda Civic car was found crashed into the rear of a large 18 wheel truck. The car driver, Mr. Pradit, aged 35, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife and 5 year old son had been given first aid and taken to the nearest hospital. The truck driver, 51 year old Mr. Jansing stated that he was driving along in the rain when suddenly he heard a loud noise and bump as he temporarily lost control of the truck. He stopped to see the Honda had crashed into the rear loaded trailer, so immediately called the police for help. A report was made and the truck will be examined to investigate the rear lights, if they caused the accident or that the driver of the car was driving too fast in the heavy rain that morning.
